Computational Privacy Group, Imperial College London<\/a><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Die Europ\u00e4ische Kommission hat am 16. Oktober 2025 Prof. de Montjoye zum Chief Technology Officer (CTO) der Generaldirektion Wettbewerb (DG COMP) ernannt, um digitale Forensik und Strategie sowie den Einsatz neuer Analysetools im Wettbewerbsvollzug zu st\u00e4rken. Die lang vakante Spitzenposition wurde 2025 formell ausgeschrieben und auf hoher Laufbahnstufe verankert \u2013 ein deutliches Signal f\u00fcr die institutionelle Priorit\u00e4t technologischer Kompetenz in Kartell- und Fusionskontrollverfahren.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><u>Profil von De Montjoye<\/u><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Montjoye ist Professor f\u00fcr angewandte Mathematik und Informatik am Imperial College London und Leiter des <em>AI Security and Privacy Lab<\/em> mit Erfahrungen zu KI, Daten und Privacy. Er war (Co\u2011)Autor der Publikation \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/op.europa.eu\/en\/publication-detail\/-\/publication\/21dc175c-7b76-11e9-9f05-01aa75ed71a1\/language-en\">Competition policy for the digital era &#8211; Publications Office of the EU<\/a>\u201c, die zentrale Empfehlungen f\u00fcr Plattform, Daten und Fusionsfragen im Digitalbereich ausgesprochen hatte.<\/p><p>Mit dieser Besetzung st\u00e4rkt die Kommission die technologische Wettbewerbsaufsicht in daten\u2011 und plattformgetriebenen M\u00e4rkten und ihre Kompetenz bei evidenzbasierten Analysen in komplexen Daten- und KI\u2011F\u00e4llen. Damit sollen Verfahren gegen dominante Plattformen und Zusammenschl\u00fcsse k\u00fcnftig technisch fundierter und effizienter werden. Neben der Umsetzung des <em>Digital Markets Act<\/em> ( DMA), des <em>Digital Services Act<\/em> (DSA) und des <em>Data Governance Act <\/em>(DGA) entsteht dadurch eine forensische Datenkompetenz innerhalb der GD Wettbewerb, die Forschung und Vollzug enger verzahnt.
